I didn't get into magic until I was in my mid twenties so have only about 30yrs experience in the business. My first magic show was for my niece when she was 6yrs old. I could not get over the response of the kids. I felt I was connecting with them at their level. I guess it was the child in me coming out to play.

For the next 10yrs I entertained with magic and built up an act and a personality that is today UNCLE BOBBY. As part of my learning curve I became interested in balloon modeling, plate spinning and juggling all of which I can incorporate into my entertainment repertoire.

In 1990 I turned professional and became self employed as UNCLE BOBBY. In the last 20yrs I have worked all over Devon for all sorts of events ranging from small house parties to huge outdoor venues with thousands attending. I have worked trade stands at the Bath and West show as well as the Devon County Show. I have worked for national supermarkets and chain stores using my balloon modeling and juggling skills to the full. I have performed at hundreds of birthday parties, fêtes, fun days, B-B-Q's and appeared in twenty two consecutive pantomimes with Exeter Little Theatre Company. You could say I have some experience in the performing arts.
